UPSC EPFO Recruitment 2025: Full Overview
The Union Public Service Commission UPSC has launched the official recruitment
drive for the Employees’
Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) in 2025.
A total of 230 posts are being filled, comprising 156 Enforcement Officer/Accounts Officer EO/AO
roles and 74 Assistant
Provident Fund Commissioner (APFC) positions
Qualifications & Seats
Enforcement Officer / Accounts Officer (156 posts): Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in any discipline
from a recognized university or .
Assistant Provident Fund Commissioner (74 posts): Same minimum—bachelor’s degree—though preference may be given to those with qualifications in law, labour laws, management or administration

Age Limit & Relaxations
EO/AO: Maximum age 30 years for General/EWS. Category-wise relaxations are +3 years for OBC, +5 years for SC/ST, and further concession for other eligible categories (e.g. ex-servicemen, government servants, PwBD)

APFC: Upper age 35 years for General/EWS, with OBC up to 38, SC/ST up to 40, and PwBD up to 45

Selection Process
Combined Recruitment Test (CRT): Objective pen‑and‑paper test of ~120 questions in 2 hours (300 marks), bilingual format, negative marking (¼ mark per wrong answer). CRT carries 75% weightage in final merit and has category‑wise cutoffs: UR/EWS 50 marks, OBC 45, SC/ST 40
Interview (Personality Test): 25% weightage. Evaluates aptitude, awareness of labour laws & social security issues, communication skill, general suitability
Pay & Responsibilities
EO/AO: Pay Matrix Level 8 (₹ 47,600–1,51,100 plus allowances).
APFC: Pay Level 10 (₹ 56,100–1,77,500 plus allowances)
Role includes enforcement of PF laws, conducting inspections and inquiries, dispute resolution, administration, record‑keeping, liaising with employers/employees, and maintaining cash/accounts and IT systems
