Selection Process
Shortlisting will be based on the percentage of marks in qualifying examination.
Final selection will be subject to document verification and signing of the apprenticeship agreement under the Apprenticeship Act, 1961.
50% of total seats are reserved for candidates from Golaghat District (Assam), and within that half seats for candidates under the “Gyandeep” scheme (HSLC passed) – if adequate candidates not found, the seats will open to open category.
How to Apply
Visit the official NRL website → Careers → Apprentice engagement section.
Ensure you have registered on the government’s apprenticeship portal and obtained the registration number.
Fill the online application form during the period (24 Oct – 17 Nov 2025) before 23:59 hours.
Upload required documents (qualification certificate, mark sheet, birth proof, address proof, apprenticeship registration certificate, etc).
Submit the form and keep a printout for future reference.
Important Notes / Things to Verify
This is for apprenticeship training, not regular permanent jobs. After completion, conversion is not guaranteed unless specified.
Check the official notification PDF for full details of reservation, trade/discipline eligibility, domicile/region requirements (especially since there is a reserved quota for Golaghat District)
Make sure your uploaded documents are within size limits (scanned copies with max size ~100 KB for most – per instructions)
Since the upper age limit is “no upper age limit”, older candidates may also apply, but check if any experience or other condition applies.
Ensure you actually register as apprentice and have the registration number before starting the application—without it your form may be rejected.
Apply early to avoid last-minute technical issues.
