Project Title: Language, Culture and Survival: A Sociolinguistic and Ethnographic Exploration of Birhor PVTGs across Indian States, funded by ICSSR, New Delhi
Positions Available: 3 temporary positions as Field Investigators
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification: Postgraduate (M.A. or equivalent) in Social Science with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade from a recognized institution
Desirable Experience: Prior experience as a field investigator in qualitative/quantitative research projects, especially involving language or cultural studies
Language Proficiency: Fluency in Hindi, English, or local languages (e.g. Chhattisgarhi); proficiency in Austro-Asiatic languages is preferred
Willingness to Travel: Field work across multiple states (West Bengal, Odisha, Jharkhand, Bihar) is required; candidates should be prepared for travel
Salary & Duration
Consolidated Pay: ₹20,000 per month
Field Allowances: TA/DA for fieldwork as per institute norms
Contract Type: Initially for one month, extendable up to five months based on performance and project needs
