Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Bachelor’s Degree in Law LLB from a recognized University
or National Law School.
Essential Experience: Minimum 3 years’
practice at Bar/Court handling Criminal & Fiscal Law.
Desirable: LLM degree may be given additional weightage.
Age Limit
Maximum 35 years old as on the last date of application.
Age relaxations as per Government of India rules
(if applicable).
Salary & Contract
Pay: ₹80,000 per month (consolidated).
Annual increment: Up to 10% based on performance.
Engagement is on contract basis
initial 3 years, extendable up to 5 years based on performance and requirement.
Selection Process
Shortlisting of eligible candidates followed by Interview (No written exam usually).
Only shortlisted candidates will be informed via email.
Job Role / Duties
Legal Consultants will assist ED officers, including:
Representing ED before Tribunals and Courts (e.g., Appellate Tribunal for Foreign Exchange, Adjudicating Authority, PMLA Tribunal).
Assisting in case preparation, legal research, briefs to Senior Law Officers / Standing Counsels.
Other legal tasks as assigned under ED’s mandate.
