RRB Technician Recruitment 2025 – 6,238 Vacancies
The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has released the CEN‑02/2025 notification on 27 June 2025, inviting online applications for 6,238 Technician posts—including 183 Technician Grade I (Signal) and 6,055 Technician Grade III vacancies across various railway zones
Eligibility: Qualifications
Grade I – Signal:
B.Sc. in Physics / Electronics / IT / Instrumentation,
OR three-year Diploma in similar streams,
OR Engineering degree in those fields
Grade III:
Matriculation (10th/SSLC) + ITI (NCVT/SCVT) in relevant trades,
OR Matriculation + Act Apprenticeship Certificate
Final-year candidates awaiting results are not eligible

Age Limits

Technician Grade I (Signal): 18–33 years
Technician Grade III: 18–30 years
Age relaxations are provided per government norms
(SC/ST +5, OBC +3, PwBD +10, ex‑servicemen etc.)

Application Fee
General/OBC/EWS: ₹500 (₹100 refundable after appearing in CBT)
SC/ST/Ex‑Servicemen/PwBD/Female: ₹250 (fully refundable after CBT)

Selection Process
Computer-Based Test (CBT) – separate exams for Grade I and III, 100 MCQs in 90 minutes, with negative marking (–0.33 per wrong answer)
Document Verification
Medical Examination.
Pay Scale
Grade I (Signal): Level 5 (₹29,200–92,300) → approx. ₹29,200 basic
Grade III: Level 2 (₹19,900–63,200) → approx. ₹19,900 basic
